Start with the currency guests use
The sales currency is the currency used for saved menu prices and order item subtotals. Choose it to reflect your restaurant’s operating context. Menuji supports INR, USD, EUR, GBP, AED, SAR, SGD, AUD, CAD, JPY, KWD and BHD at setup. Confirm that the chosen currency is suitable before entering the menu.
Understand the software subscription
Menuji’s India pricing is ₹999 monthly or ₹9,999 annually. Outside India, the subscription is US$15 monthly or US$150 annually. Those are software plan prices, not menu-price conversions. Your billing country determines the subscription market during onboarding, while the restaurant’s sales currency is selected separately.
Do not assume automatic exchange-rate conversion
Selecting a currency changes how prices are stored and displayed. It does not automatically fetch exchange rates or reprice dishes. Menuji’s current release does not provide exchange-rate conversion. If your business needs prices in several currencies, define that requirement explicitly and confirm the operating process before buying software.
Respect decimal precision
Currencies do not all use the same number of decimal places. JPY normally uses zero decimal places, while KWD and BHD use three. Menuji’s currency support accounts for these differences when validating and formatting prices. A figure that looks convenient in a spreadsheet may still need careful entry in the selected currency.
Treat timezone as a separate choice
Currency does not determine the local day. Choose the restaurant’s timezone explicitly so reports group orders in the intended period. This is especially useful when an owner or support person views the workspace from another country. Check the timezone in the same setup review as the billing country and sales currency.
Review tax and payment requirements independently
Currency support does not establish tax compliance or payment-gateway availability in a country. In the current Menuji release, tax invoices and payment collection remain planned. If those are essential to your operations, speak with the team about scope and continue using the appropriate existing tax and payment processes.
